When Inquisitive Minds visited Parramatta Marist High School on Monday, students from Catherine McCauley High joined the event. It was the first time that we had ever catered for a Brother and Sister School in one Workshop.
The battle of the sexes added a great vibe to the day! To the disgust of the boys, the girls took out the ‘Complession’ competition. The boys did fight back though, placing first in the ‘Hands-on’ competition.
It was probably the most intense Maths Workshop that we have ever run. Not only was the competition extreme – the fact that we had 90 students in the hall at one time meant that the Inquisitive Minds team and the teachers from Marist and McCauley didn’t have much time to breathe throughout the competitions. Nothing like keeping fit while working!
