In November 2013, sixty Year 8 students from Central Coast Grammar took part in a ‘Problems, Patterns, Pictures, Puzzles’ and ‘Minds in Motion’ Workshop.
All students participated wholeheartedly as they competed for the highest score whilst learning a range of new problem solving strategies in our complession (competition/ lesson).
The rivalry intensified when it came time for our hands-on problem solving competition. There were some fantastic results from many of the participants, but special mention must be made of our winners, Annelise Chown and Jemma Smith (pictured below). In the two hour competition, these girls completed all thirty nine questions! They are the only students who have ever accomplished this feat!
