On the 31st March 2015, Year 8 students from nine Public Schools gathered at Hunter School of the Performing Arts for a fun and challenging day of problem solving.
It was our first all Public Schools Talented PPPP and it was such a huge success that we are already looking at organising one for Year 9 students in the same region to be held later this year.
The competition was fierce and many teachers expressed how shocked they were that students were still pushing themselves so much after a full four hours of problem solving. The final point scores were extraordinary and demonstrated just how many extremely capable mathematicians attend public schools in the Newcastle Region!
